Laying of the Foundation Stone for the “Sagenmatt” Project

Last Thursday, on 22 May 2025, the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the “Sagenmatt” project took place on the former AMAG site in Ebikon. While work on Luzernerstrasse is already underway, the ceremony marks the official start of the construction phase.

With delicious food, live music, and a spectacular fire show, project partners and guests came together to celebrate this important milestone.

The “Sagenmatt” project has a development history of over ten years, during which numerous challenges were overcome through close cooperation among those involved. The site will feature 67 condominiums, 174 rental apartments, and versatile commercial spaces – all embedded in a sustainable and thoughtfully planned residential and living concept.

President of the city council Daniel Gasser described “Sagenmatt” as a symbol of change and Ebikon’s future: “Sagenmatt is more than a building project – it is a visible sign of how our municipality is flourishing and continuing to grow.”

Jan Eckert, Chairman of the Board of directors of moyreal immobilien ag, also highlighted the symbolic importance of laying the foundation stone. It not only marks the physical base of the building but also stands for a new beginning and the new perspectives this project opens up.
